About JunHyeuk

Hi! My name is Jun. I am currently studying microbiology in a Master program in Göttingen, Germany. I am originally from South Korea and have been studying abroad since 2010. I spent about a year for high school in Japan, obtained my bachelor’s degree in Biology in the US, and had an exchange semester in the UK. As you can tell from this, I really love to explore a variety of cultures. I have been incorporating cultural and language immersion into my academic immersion. This means that I have been studying local languages and cultures while getting a degree in the places mentioned above. Likewise, in Germany, I am learning science at school while learning German culture and language outside of school. In other words, these are my goals in Germany: gaining a master’s degree and reaching advanced level (C level) in German language before I leave Germany. I would also love to share my experiences abroad with others. I have been writing a blog in Korean for a couple of years. I recently started a youtube channel (in English) to share my student life in Germany. Feel free to check it out if you are interested: . In this blog, I would also like to share my student life in Germany. I could also give you some tips on applications and life in Germany based on my experiences of studying abroad for a long time. I hope you enjoy reading my blog. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or want to connect.
