Welcome to My Journey!

Hello everyone, this is my first post, and I’m excited to share this journey with you all. It's hard to believe that it's been 8 months since I arrived in Berlin, and even now, it sometimes feels like a dream. In this blog, I will talk about my experiences, challenges, and the incredible growth I've undergone while living in this vibrant city.

"The first steps in Berlin felt like walking into a new chapter—uncertain, exciting, and full of possibilities. Every street, every corner holds a memory of discovery and growth."

Life in Berlin: A Slow Start, But Worth It

Life in Berlin is smooth but can seem a bit slow and dry at first. Adjusting to the culture and pace of life was initially challenging, but over time, I found myself integrating into the city and its rhythm. Slowly, you start feeling like a local, and the city begins to feel like home.

One thing I quickly realized is that learning German is essential, especially for finding jobs, whether it's a mini-job or a student position. While I am still learning, I’ve picked up some basic phrases like: Danke (Thank you), Auf Wiedersehen (Goodbye), Entschuldigung (Excuse me), Sprechen Sie Englisch? (Do you speak English?), Guten Morgen (Good morning) and many more. Even these basic words have helped me a lot, and it’s a fun challenge to learn more each day.

Meeting People from All Over the World

One of the most exciting aspects of living in Berlin is meeting people from all different nationalities. I’ve made friends from various cultures, and it’s fascinating to learn about their countries and experiences. This has broadened my perspective on global cultures and issues, making me appreciate diversity even more.

Becoming Independent: Cooking, Cleaning, and Managing Money

Living alone in Berlin has taught me a lot about independence. I’ve learned how to cook, wash clothes, and most importantly, manage my finances. Berlin isn’t cheap, so I’ve had to carefully plan my spending, making sure I stay within my budget while still enjoying the city.

One of the perks of living in a cosmopolitan city like Berlin is the opportunity to attend international conferences. These events have provided me with new insights and professional connections, all while contributing to my academic and personal growth.

Weather in Berlin: Expect the Unexpected

The weather in Berlin was another adjustment for me. Even in summer, it can get chilly in the evenings, so carrying an extra layer is always a good idea. The winters are cold, but the city has a charm that makes it worth the occasional chill.

Facing Challenges and Staying Resilient

Of course, there have been times when I’ve felt tired, depressed and disheartened, but I remind myself of the goals I set when I came here. This city offers countless opportunities, and despite the ups and downs, I’m determined to make the most of it and achieve everything I came here for.

Thank you for reading. Signing off for today till the next post. Stay tuned for more adventures and insights from my life in Berlin! ^-^…
