The housing complex "Grindelallee" is located very close to the campus of Hamburg University and MetroBus line 5. "Dammtor" railway station is also in a short distance. On a total of five floors, five to ten students live in corridors where they share two shower baths, a separate toilet and a fully equipped kitchen and a recreation room.

The central location of this building makes it very popular, and there is a long list of applicants.
