Special deals for students with children / families
Students with children are welcome to stay in the student accommodation. The Studentenwerk can provide equipment such as cots, baby changing units, high chairs, baby food heaters and children’s cutlery, for example. The equipment can be obtained from the caretaker of your student accommodation.
The catering facilities have children’s areas, high chairs and baby changing facilities so that you can take a short break to relax and recuperate between lectures. Baby food heaters are available so that you can heat up your child’s food and spend time with your child at mealtimes.

Students who sign up with their main residence in Senftenberg, may apply to the city vouchers worth a total of € 100 annually. You will find further information .

There are no particular application procedures for foreign students. However, foreign students will receive preferential treatment when rooms are allocated.
The close cooperation with respective universities is an advantage as the Studentenwerk is told in advance how many exchange students are to be expected. Likewise the universities share information about acceptance of students into programmes, their arrival and the length of their stays.
