Annotation
Psychology deals with the experiences and behaviour of people. When people interact with each other, be it in the private or professional sphere, psychologically analysable problems can arise. Psychology then is required when people have to adapt their experiences or behaviour to new situations. Do you want to know how people act and feel? Or do you want to advise others in difficult situations and propose constructive solutions? Or simply increase your understanding of yourself and others? Then the Bachelor's degree course in Psychology is just right for you. Here you will learn about the research and explanation of human behaviour and experiences using state-of-the-art observation and survey methods as well as statistical and experimental methods. During the degree course, you will learn how to apply validated knowledge to new problems, an important skill that will help you with future challenges. In addition, demand for people with psychological expertise is constantly increasing due to the various changes in the modern world of work: increasing pressure, demands for flexibility and a fast pace of life are leading to an increase in disease profiles such as burnout, depression and anxiety in society. By the way: as a student of this distance learning course, you will be able to participate in a three-week study session in Sacramento: the <a href="Das AKAD California Campus Program: Einzigartig in seiner Art target="_blank">California Campus Program</a>!
Admission requirements
To directly enrol in the degree course, you need a general higher education entrance qualification (allgemeine Hochschulreife), a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification (fachgebundene Hochschulreife) or an entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife). Do you not have a school leaving certificate giving general right of entry to higher education (Abitur) or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification (Fachabitur)? Then recognised continuing education and technical college qualifications (e.g. Technician, Master Craftsperson, Business Economist, Business Administrator, Educator, etc.) in combination with a counselling interview also entitle you to a study place. If you do not have a continuing education or technical college qualification, but have completed vocational training and have professional experience, then you can start studying after successfully completing the university aptitude test.
