Annotation

Business Psychology imparts scientific findings in to economic tasks in a broad application spectrum, combining classical entrepreneurial approaches with psychological competences and business psychology expertise. In the Bachelor’s course in Business Psychology students therefore are initially introduced to the foundations of Business Administration and National Economics and also gain an insight into Management Studies. The special feature of this course is a combination of five interesting fields of application that is unique in Germany: Market and consumer psychology Media Psychology Cross-Cultural Psychology Organisational Psychology Personnel Psychology A further characteristic is the culture psychology focus over the course of studies: With solid foundations from the field of Cultural Psychology, students are prepared to understand the way in which brands, media and companies function in the respectively relevant contexts of day-to-day life and culture as well as to develop effective measures and efficient concepts. The continual training in quantitative and qualitative research methods enables students to specialise already during their studies, e.g. in the area of quantitative Personnel or Market Psychology or in qualitative, psychoanalysis-oriented Organisational Psychology or Media Research. The systematic training of students’ social and personal skills is also firmly integrated into the course profile. Upon completion of the course students are qualified to analyse and effectively structure organisational and communication processes against the background of psychological contexts. The application fields offered enable students to specialise at an early stage in the areas of market research, media, communication and marketing, human resources or employment and organisational development. The special aspects of the Bachelor's degree course in Business Psychology at the Business School Potsdam are - the training in quantitative and qualitative methods on the basis of the (business) psychology theories and concepts underlying these methods - the teaching of Business Psychology from a cultural psychology-in-depth psychology perspective that is unique in Germany with -a combination of five practice-based application fields with optimum career prospects The Business Psychology course is also offered at the BSP Campus Hamburg. The tuition fees amount to EUR 21,240, to be paid in 36 constant monthly instalments of EUR 590 for the full-time model. Newly enrolled students are charged a one-time examination fee of 100 euros. There are numerous possibilities for financing studies, such as BAföG (state financial support), KfW study loans (parent- and subject-independent without collateral), scholarships for outstanding students, student loans from banks, student education funds and scholarships.
