Media Informatics is a discipline in the area of ??applied computer science, which is becoming increasingly important in all areas of life due to the rapid development of electronic media with novel user interfaces and the spread of computers, mobile devices and embedded devices. The M.Sc. in Media Informatics provides advanced content of media informatics with the core areas of human-computer interaction and media production, web and internet, computer graphics and visual computing as well as multimedia technology. It also includes a practical module that can be designed for research or application purposes. The course is distinguished by a high degree of choice\; in addition to the core modules of media informatics, classes in computer science and certain application areas can be selected. Computer Science in Tübingen is one of the most research-intensive in Germany and is internationally known. It maintains close partnerships with major business enterprises and research institutes (e.g. three Max Planck Institutes in Tübingen) at the national and international levels. It is distinguished by the interdisciplinary cooperation with medicine, biology, psychology, media science and many other disciplines at the University of Tübingen.
