The Tübingen Psychology Department is characterised by a scientific orientation in research and teaching. Cognitive psychology is the unifying element of the fundamental disciplines and is based on a wide range of methods. The research focuses in the fundamental disciplines are Perception, Action Planning, Number Processing, Temporal Cognition, Language as well as Social Communication and Interaction Processes. The field of application includes Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, Knowledge Psychology, Communication Psychology and Media Psychology. The diverse research activities of the areas of work in Tübingen Psychology are embedded in an interdisciplinary research environment.
