Target group
The Tübingen Master’s programme in Romance Linguistics offers qualified Bachelor graduates a broad and in-depth study of the structures, varieties and history of Romance languages. There are opportunities for profile building within the Master's program (more linguistically oriented or more interdisciplinary, with a focus on the supplementary area, e.g. Literature, Cultural, Media or Communication studies or Foreign Language Didactics, Profile Building in Digital Humanities). One semester should be completed abroad. As part of a mobility window, students can complement their interdisciplinary study profile at partner universities, thus giving more weight to the main language. It is a research-oriented study programme, in which the prerequisites are acquired for independently contributing to subject-specific research. First and foremost, the Master qualifies graduates for an academic career, but the degree programme also opens up a variety of other career opportunities.
