Admission requirements
Admission requirements for the Master's degree course are: a professionally qualifying German or equivalent foreign academic degree from a university with at least 180 credit points (CP) with a study component of at least 30 credit points in relevant China-, Japan- or Korea-related content on Global East Asia, in particular in the areas of Chinese studies, Japanese studies and Korean studies (excluding language acquisition). Applicants who have not obtained their certificate of academic degree at an educational institution where English is the language of instruction must provide evidence of English language proficiency at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) or equivalent. Proof of Chinese, Japanese or Korean language skills at level B1 of the CEFR must also be provided.
