Annotation
In particular, because of social inequality and discrimination, people and groups with diversity characteristics, such as disability or immigrant background, often have limited access to health care. There is also a worldwide link between poverty and health. The students of the Bachelor Degree Program in Health and Diversity learn to build structures in a theoretical and practice-oriented way, which promote the participation of disadvantaged persons and groups in the health and social system and specifically support persons with diversity traits through health-related information and counselling services. The conceptual development, practical implementation and theory-based evaluation of target group-specific prevention offers characterise future work at the intersection between health and education from a perspective of diversity. The bachelor's program 'Health and Diversity' comprises a total of six semesters including the bachelor thesis and a practical semester, which can also be completed abroad.
