Target group

Are you interested in preserving our environment and extracting new raw materials from waste? Then start the Master's degree programme in Environmental and Recycling Technology at the University of Applied Sciences Nordhausen. Topics covered: • global demand for raw materials • technological possibilities for producing raw materials • technologies for waste water and polluted air • global benefits from environmental and recycling technologies Two specialisations (Environmental Technology and Recycling Technology) are taught in the form of lectures, seminars, exercises, practical laboratory training with excursions to sites, manufacturers and companies. In project work prominent current issues will be discussed. The final semester is reserved for your Master's thesis.

Annotation

Conditions of access to the Master's degree programme: University degree or above-average bachelor degree, which corresponds to 210 Credits according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Generally, this corresponds to international Bachelor study courses lasting more than 8 semesters. Graduates of international Bachelor degree programmes lasting 6 to 8 Semesters (corresponding to 180 Credits) need to attend a qualification semester at University Nordhausen with 30 Credits right before the 1st semester starts. The qualification semester always starts in October of each year. The 1st semester always starts in April.

The entrance requirement for the Master's degree is an above-average final degree grade in Physics (science – Natural Sciences). Scientific Engineering / the curriculum of which covers among others the subjects Physics, Waste Management, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science. Mandatory proficiency in English since all courses are given in English: TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS 6.0 or APS (only for applicants from China , India and Vietnam) Admission to the Master's degree programme in Environmental and Recycling Technology requires proof of a first certificate of academic degree in a degree course of at least three years in the subjects • Environmental Engineering and Recycling Engineering • Waste Management • Process Engineering • Geoengineering • Mechanical Engineering • Environmental Sciences With an academic degree of Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or a professionally comparable professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree.
