Annotation
The English-language Bachelor´s degree programmes programme "Air Traffic Management - dual" is a training-integrated programme in cooperation with DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH. By combining air traffic controller training with business studies, graduates acquire a wide range of skills. This enables them to pursue careers outside or in addition to the traditional field of activity of air traffic controllers. The six semesters are divided into study phases at the university in Worms and training phases at the Air Navigation Services Academy in Langen. The first three semesters are completed at Worms University. During the semester breaks, students are employed in the commercial department at DFS. After the third semester, the first part of the air traffic controller training, the initial training, begins. This concludes with the acquisition of the student air traffic controller licence at the end of the fifth semester. During the fourth semester, students take part in an in-depth seminar on aviation topics at a higher education institution. The sixth semester is divided between the bachelor's thesis and practical training at the DFS regional offices, the Unit Training. Students in the dual degree programme develop an interdisciplinary understanding of the overall air transport system. This is supported by joint events with our two other aviation degree programmes, which also enables networking between students from different aviation sub-sectors. The programme is only offered in cooperation with DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH. Further information on training as an air traffic controller in conjunction with the dual degree programme is available at DFS: www.dfs.de
