Target group
The consecutive, research-oriented Master’s degree Transnational German Studies (TALC_eu) 'is a joint Master’s degree that is offered in cooperation with the four European universities Universidade do Porto (Portugal), Université du Luxembourg (Luxembourg), Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (Germany) and the Università degli Studi di Palermo (Italy). The course is aimed at national and international students with a Bachelor's degree in the Humanities and Cultural Studies (at least 50 credit points in the subject German Studies). Its aim is to impart in-depth scientific knowledge in the fields of pre-modern literature and culture, and at the same time to promote intercultural, linguistic and professional skills.

Admission requirements
Bachelor's degree in the Humanities and Cultural Studies with at least 50 credit points (CP) in German Studies. Proof of German language skills at level B2 and English language skills at level B1. The following is considered evidence of B2 level in German: - German language diploma of the Conference of Ministers of Education (KMK) – level two – (DSD II), - Certificate of the “German Language Test for Admission to Higher Education for Foreign Students” (DSH 1), - Goethe certificate B2 (in all variants), - telc German B2 - “Test of German as a Foreign Language” (TestDaF) certificate with at least 4 partial qualifications at level TDN 3, - Austrian language diploma (ÖSD) B2, - passed assessment examination in German in a “Studienkolleg” preparatory course at a university of applied sciences.
