Annotation
Teacher training for vocational schools with the vocational subject area of Information Technology is offered in cooperation with the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and the University of Osnabrück. Academic teacher training comprises the Bachelor´s degree course in Vocational Education and Training - partial study programme in Information Technology and the Master's degree programme in Teaching Qualification for Vocational Schools - partial study programme in Information Technology. The study programme in Vocational Education and Training - partial study programme in Information Technology combines the degree course in Information Technology with a general teaching subject. In addition, students are taught in-depth knowledge of vocational and business education. The following subjects can be selected as general education teaching subjects: German, English, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Catholic Religion, Protestant Religion, Islamic Religion and Sports. The Bachelor's degree enables graduates to work as a specialist advisors in education, training and continuing training in companies or extracurricular educational institutions. The primary objective is qualification for the consecutive Master's degree programme in Teaching Qualification for Vocational Schools - partial study programme in Information Technology. In the lecture-free time at the end of each of the fourth semester the general in-school practical studies element of a total of 5 weeks at vocational training schools must be completed. These are supported by the Vocational and Economics Education Department at the University of Osnabrück.
Admission requirements
Apart from meeting school-related requirements: 13-week practical training (of which at least 8 weeks before commencement of studies). Completed vocational training in a relevant occupation that requires formal training will be recognised.
