Annotation
Accessories accentuate both living environments and personalities, they reinforce individual expression and define or emphasize the look of fashion, one of the largest industries in the world. They are smart, complete and independent – just like our students in this area. Shoes, bags, belts, glasses, cloths and much more – the accessories industry is very diverse, it acts quickly and operates internationally. Thus, the accessory design is permanently creative, intelligent and provides sustainable solutions for all areas. Prof. Madeleine Häse: "The Accessory Design degree course forms the interface of three disciplines: It is the perfect fusion of the immediate relevance of fashion with the artistic poetry of jewellery design and the functional precision of industrial design. Accessory design combines craftsmanship and pioneering technologies with creativity and social skills. Design does not only mean dealing with formal or functional aspects – it is also about the cultural, company and social implications of what designers do. It's about a sense of responsibility for people, nature and society."
