Admission requirements

Knowledge of a modern East Asian language comparable to level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) for oral skills and written text production and to level B2 with parts of C1 for reading skills. This knowledge can be acquired through corresponding study achievements such as those at RUB in the language modules of the Bachelor's degree course in Economics and Politics of East Asia amounting to 40 CP or through commonly recognised certificates, for example certificates at the level of TOCFL B1 or HSK 5 (Chinese), JLPT N3 (Japanese) or TOPIK 3 (Korean). Proof of a study stay or work placement in East Asia with a duration of at least eight weeks. Proof of English language skills through: TOEFL score 95 to 120, IELTS 7.0-8.0 or equivalent.
