Annotation
The programme provides students with the knowledge and skills to work with elite athletes, coaches and sporting organizations. It combines basic research and practice in elite sports with a strong international perspective. Graduates are qualified to undertake advanced academic research (e. g. doctoral research for a PhD degree). Erasmus collaborations exist with Liverpool John Moores University (United Kingdom) and the University of Groningen (Netherlands). The University of Technology Sydney (Australia) and Saarland University are in the process of finalising a joint Masters programme, that will lead to a double degree.
