In addition to teaching design/artistic aspects, conceptual strategies and knowledge of traditional and contemporary currents in architecture and urban planning, the teaching concept is focused on a solid technical education including digitalisation. The teaching profiles of the lecturers as well as their focuses and practical experience reflect this broad range of disciplines. In addition to teaching, cooperation projects with municipalities or private institutions in the sense of applied research, architectural excursions in Germany and abroad and the Bauhütte lecture series are further pillars of realistic, current and future-oriented architectural discussion at our university. On average, 60 students study during the semester. Contact with the fellow students and supervision by the lecturers are close and personal. Lectures, seminar instruction and work in small design groups establish the format of joint work in a team. Large workspaces also offer students a forum in which they can work and learn independently and cooperatively.
