The international programme in 'Communication Systems and Networks (CSN)' offers students the opportunity to understand and use complex and modern communication systems and services productively.

Annotation

This degree course is offered together with the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg. Studies can be commenced in the winter semester on request. In this case however, it cannot be guaranteed that courses can be scheduled in order for the examinations to be taken as early as possible. If the standard period of study needs to be extended as a result, then the responsibility is to be borne by the student themselves.

Admission requirements

The admission requirement is a recognised first certificate of academic degree in a relevant Natural Sciences or technical degree programme worth at least 210 credit points in accordance with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) and an overall grade of 2.3 or better. Each degree course in the following skill areas is taught in relation to Electrical and Electronic Engineering: Mathematics, Physics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, totalling at least 110 credit points. Prospective students who have not yet completed their relevant academic studies may be admitted and enrolled, provided they can demonstrate that they only require 30 CP to obtain their degree (i.e. at least 150 out of 180 CP for 6-semester degree courses; 180 out of 210 CP for 7-semester degree courses). In such cases, enrolment is subject to the condition that successful completion with a minimum grade of 2.3 is demonstrated by the second semester. Proof of good command of English/German.
