Annotation

The Bachelor's programme "Educational Science" combines a broad-based basic qualification in pedagogical theory and practice with introductions to the two professional focal points of social and rehabilitation education on the one hand and extracurricular youth and adult education on the other. The programme is divided into modules which initially deal with the content and methodological foundations of the subject. Parallel to this, practical professional skills are acquired, particularly in the context of a systematically prepared and followed-up internship. This is followed by introductory modules in the above-mentioned study foci. The individual profile development is supplemented by a selection of profile modules on topics such as counselling, media, interculturalism, environment or gender. Modules from other subjects and exchange programmes with foreign universities ensure the interdisciplinary and international orientation of the programme. Research focuses On the one hand, the second stage of study includes the choice of a specialisation module in one of the two study foci of social and rehabilitation education or adult education and extracurricular youth education. On the other hand, you have given further opportunities for your individual focus in your course of studies by choosing an internship position, a minor subject or the individual selection of topics for study and examination credits within the broad range of topics offered by the degree programmes (e.g. in the profile modules).
