  • Physics
  • Theoretical Physics

Focus

Development of physics in its main concepts and examples in the fields of mechanics, electricity and heat as well as optics and quantum phenomena, Demonstration experiments are an important part of the course, in the work placements, students learn the methodological approach and documentation and evaluation using simple, mostly classical experiments, in the field of Mathematics, basic knowledge of the handling and use of mathematical formulations is taught, the elective area of Physics includes the possibility of gaining a certain insight into theoretical physics or topics of modern physics

Annotation

Minor subject in the combination Bachelor's degree course - only possible in combination with a major subject Standard period of study: 6 or 8 semesters (depending on combination) The degree depends on the major subject chosen. Further information on the structure of the combination Bachelor's degree course can be found here: In the minor subject sub-course "Introduction to Physics" you will learn the ability to recognise phenomena and effects from the fields of mechanics, electricity and heat as well as optics and quantum phenomena. On the basis of physical questions, their analysis and mathematical modelling, you will develop appropriate solutions. The minor subject is divided into Experimental Physics, work placements, Mathematics and an elective Physics area, whereby the field of study Experimental Physics is the most important part of the degree course. An integral part of the degree course is the MarSkills programme, in which you acquire attractive and future-oriented key skills (see ).
