The focus is on the interaction of language use and power structures. As a result, you will learn to analyse, describe and reflect on the role of language in social and in many ways mediatised negotiation processes as well as its role in creating, maintaining and changing power structures in a scientifically sound manner. You can choose from modules on intercultural communication, sociolinguistics, critical discourse analysis, language and the media. Towards the end of your degree programme, you will focus intensively on science communication. An integral part of the degree course is the MarSkills programme, in which you acquire attractive and future-oriented key skills (see ).
