In the Bachelor's degree course in Economic Law, a first professionally qualifying degree can be obtained which enables direct entry into professional life or admission to a Master's course. There is demand in particular in legal and economic consultancy professions, for example, tax consultancy and auditing. After several years of practical experience, graduates of the Bachelor's degree course can take the auditing examination or tax adviser examination and become self-employed. In addition, work in the insurance and credit industry or in operational personnel management as well as public administration can be considered. The Bachelor's degree opens up access to the Master's degree course, including fundamentally the Master's degree course in Taxation Studies at the Universität Osnabrück.The course is divided into two learning phases. Following the two-year basic studies, there is specialisation in the third year in one of the four profile areas (Taxation, Work and Personnel, Companies and Banks, Public Administration) for a practical vocational field. It is possible to add a study visit abroad to the six-semester course.
