Annotation

Special features of the program: The Master's degree programme in Romance Cultural Areas comprises French, Italian and Spanish Philology and the subjects of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies; The focus is on cultural studies. The Master's degree programme is research-orientated and theory-orientated and is therefore aimed at students interested in academics; It acquaints students with relevant research approaches and imparts in-depth skills in the culture, media, language and literature of Romania. A mandatory part of the Masters is a project work on interculturality or media, e.g. the conception and development of a cultural event, a professional exhibition, a workshop or a translation project.

Admission requirements

For this course, you should have obtained your first degree in a course of study of the following subject groups and/or study areas: Romance Studies (French, Italian, Spanish Philology). At least 60 subject-specific credit points must be proven. If the minimum grade of 2.5 is not reached, a selection interview will take place. Applications for admission to the procedure must be submitted to the Examination Board of the Master's in Romance Cultural Area Studies for the coming winter semester by 1 July and for the coming summer semester by 1 January.
