The IT sector is still a growth industry of the future. Ever new applications and hardware innovations simplify everyday business life. However, they also place ever higher demands on IT specialists. The 8-semester distance learning programme Bachelor of Business Informatics teaches the interrelationships between the fields of business administration and computer science as well as the ability to apply scientific methods and findings in a practice-oriented manner. Completion of this distance learning course qualifies them to take on management positions in middle and senior management. Career opportunities As a distance student, you will demonstrate an above-average degree of willingness to convince in the competition on the job market through personal commitment and the will to perform. The academic degree "Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)" obtained at a state university vouches for the quality of your education and for recognition in business and public administration. Course Structure By choosing your personal study profile: Digital Business or Digital Development, we enable you to achieve an optimal interlocking with practice as well as perspectives for cooperation with companies. In the course of your studies, you will apply the acquired knowledge in IT projects. There are compulsory attendance weekends at your university location at most twice a semester. You can discuss complex issues in the study group or network with lecturers and fellow students. On the same day you will have the opportunity to take your exams. Alternatively, you can take your written examinations at one of our 16 examination locations in Germany and Austria to suit your individual needs. This organisation aims to ensure that your distance learning is optimally compatible with your professional activity. This allows you to decide when you want to deal with the content of the course of studies. During your entire distance learning programme, you will have personal study support at your side. Choice of profile line Today, the success of a company depends largely on the use of modern information and communication technologies, so that IT has become an essential competitive factor for companies. With the profile line "Digital Business" you gain the fundamental knowledge that business informatics is a crucial and indispensable part of modern and innovative business administration. It shows you the opportunities and risks of digital transformation. The profile line "Digital Development" makes you an IT architect,. As an "IT architect", you will develop holistic concepts of corporate transformation and implement them. On the one hand, "digital development" focuses on how to deal with the "resource knowledge": Knowledge-Based Systems and knowledge integration On the other hand, modules such as IT infrastructure and cloud computing are also moving into focus.
Admission requirements
In order to be admitted to the distance learning Bachelor in Business Informatics, one of the following three requirements must be fulfilled: 1. general university entrance qualification 2. subject-specific university entrance qualification 3. entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences Admission without higher education entrance qualification
