Target group

For students with international degrees in law, the faculty offers a 1-year postgraduate Magister Legum (LL.M.) course. This course is open to students wishing to obtain additional qualifications in German and European Law in Giessen, after completion of their studies of law abroad. It offers an opportunity for gaining in-depth knowledge and skills in the legal sector of their choice, confirmed by an examination and documented by the award of a Magister degree. Requirements and conditions are specified in the Magister Statutes of the department from 19 March 1999. Key requirements are: Successful completed international Law degree in a course comparable and equivalent to a German Law degree course\; Adequate command of German\;
